Pages per Sheet
Put 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 PDF pages on one sheet, make a booklet, or put invoices two to an A4 page — in your browser, no upload.
Put 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 PDF pages on one sheet, make a booklet, or put invoices two to an A4 page — in your browser, no upload.
Print a PDF with 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 pages on each sheet of paper, turn it into a booklet to fold and staple, or put invoices two or four to an A4 page at their real size for an expense report. PDFree lays the pages out in your browser and keeps them as vector content: text stays sharp, selectable and searchable, nothing is turned into a picture.
Several PDFs can go in at once — their pages follow one another in the order of the list. Last verified: October 2026.
Click Choose files or drop one or more PDFs. A preview shows the first sheet with every page number in its place.
2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 — or the Booklet or Invoices on A4 mode. Paper size (A4, A3, Letter) and orientation are chosen for you so the pages come out as large as possible — you can still set them yourself.
Click Arrange Pages. The PDF downloads immediately, ready to print.
Two slides, two book pages or four handout pages on one sheet: half or a quarter of the paper, still readable.
The Invoices on A4 mode keeps each invoice or receipt at its real size and puts two or four on an A4 sheet. An optional 30 mm binding margin on the left leaves room for punching or gluing.
The Booklet mode puts the pages in booklet order, two on each side of the sheet. Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, fold the stack in the middle and staple it — a zine, a programme or a small manual reads 1, 2, 3… Blank pages are added at the end when the count is not a multiple of four.
For Arabic, Persian or Hebrew documents, Right to left puts page 1 in the top-right cell, the way those pages are read. It is switched on by itself on our Arabic pages.
Every page keeps its proportions and is centred in its cell — A4 and Letter, portrait and landscape can be mixed. Pages rotated in the PDF are placed the way they are shown.
Most online tools upload your file to a server, rearrange it there and send it back. Invoices, contracts and reports then pass through hardware you don't control.
PDFree does the whole layout inside your browser. The file is never uploaded — not even to PDFree — and there is no daily limit, no account and no watermark.
No. The pages are laid out entirely in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
Yes. Each page is placed as vector content, not as an image — text stays sharp and can be selected and searched as in the original.
2, 4, 6, 9 or 16. The tool picks the paper orientation and grid that make the pages largest; you can also set portrait or landscape yourself.
Yes — choose Invoices on A4. Each invoice keeps its own size (it is never enlarged), two or four go on a sheet, and an optional 30 mm binding margin leaves room for punching or gluing.
Yes — choose Booklet. The pages are put in booklet order, two on each side of the sheet. Print double-sided with flip on the short edge, fold the stack in the middle and staple it: the pages read in order. For Arabic, Persian or Hebrew books, Right to left puts the binding on the right.
Yes. Add several PDFs — their pages follow one another in the order of the file list, then are laid out on sheets.
Yes. Right to left places page 1 in the top-right cell, the reading order of those documents.
Everything you see is kept: text, images, filled-in form values, stamps, seals and comments are drawn onto the sheet exactly where they were. The result is flat, though: links are no longer clickable and form fields can no longer be edited, so fill in a form before putting it on a sheet.
