Convert PDF to PowerPoint Free — No Upload, No Account

Need to turn a PDF into a slide deck? PDFree converts each page of your PDF into its own slide in a real .pptx file — ready to open in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

Choose Image mode for a full-page picture of each PDF page — the most layout-faithful option — or try Editable text (beta) to get real, editable PowerPoint text and tables for headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables, including multi-column layouts (diagrams and photos still appear as an embedded picture within the slide). How to Convert PDF to PowerPoint in 3 Steps

1
Open your PDF

Click Choose file or drag your PDF into the drop zone. PDFree reads the page count and dimensions to size the slide deck correctly.

2
Choose an output mode and slide quality

Pick Image (default) or Editable text (beta) for real, editable headings/paragraphs/lists. Then choose Compact, Balanced, or High quality — higher quality means sharper embedded images at a larger file size. Balanced works well for most decks.

3
Download the .pptx file

Click Convert to PowerPoint. Every page becomes one slide, in the original page order, sized to match your PDF's aspect ratio.

When to Convert PDF to PowerPoint

Presenting a report or one-pager

Turn a finished PDF report into a deck you can present slide-by-slide in a meeting, without rebuilding it from scratch.

Lecture notes and handouts

Convert PDF lecture slides or printed handouts into a deck you can annotate, reorder, or present directly.

Portfolios and lookbooks

Design portfolios, product catalogs, and lookbooks exported as PDF often need to become a slide deck for a pitch or client walkthrough.

Old decks only available as PDF

If you only have the exported PDF of a presentation and not the original file, this rebuilds a deck you can present from again.

What to expect

In Image mode, each slide is a picture of the original page — nothing is individually editable inside PowerPoint. Editable text (beta) turns headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables into real, editable PowerPoint objects, including multi-column layouts; diagrams and photos still appear as an embedded picture. For a fully editable document, PDF to Word is the better tool.

Why Convert Here Instead of a Cloud Tool?

Most online PDF-to-PowerPoint converters upload your document to a remote server, render the slides there, and send back a file. Whatever is in your PDF — a client proposal, financials, internal notes — briefly exists on hardware you don't control.

PDFree works differently. Every page is rendered and packaged into a .pptx file inside your browser using pdf.js and PptxGenJS, two open-source libraries. Your PDF never leaves your device. No server receives it — not even PDFree's own servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere to convert it?

No. Every slide is rendered and packaged in your browser using pdf.js and PptxGenJS. Your PDF never leaves your device.

Does PDFree store or log my files after processing?

No. PDFree runs entirely in your browser — there is no backend server that receives your files. Because nothing is uploaded, nothing can be stored, logged, or retained. Your document exists only in your browser's memory for the duration of the session and is cleared when you close the tab.

Can I edit the text on the slides after converting?

With the default Image mode, not directly — each slide is a picture of the original PDF page, which preserves the exact layout but means text isn't a separate, editable PowerPoint object. Switch to Editable text (beta) before converting to get real, editable PowerPoint text and tables for headings, paragraphs, lists, and tables, including multi-column pages — diagrams and photos still appear as an embedded picture in that mode. If you need a fully editable document, use PDF to Word instead.

What size will my slides be?

The deck's slide size matches your PDF's first-page dimensions and aspect ratio. If every page is the same size, slides fill edge-to-edge with no letterboxing — unlike forcing a portrait PDF onto a standard widescreen slide. PowerPoint only supports one slide size per deck, so if your PDF mixes page sizes or orientations, those pages are scaled to fit and centered instead of being stretched or distorted.

Which quality setting should I choose?

Balanced (150 dpi) is a good default for most decks. Choose High quality for dense text or fine print you'll zoom into; choose Compact if you're emailing the file and want a smaller size.

Is this a free PDF to PowerPoint converter with no sign up?

Yes. PDFree is completely free — no sign up, no account, no installation. Open the tool, load your PDF, and download the .pptx file.

Will this work with a large PDF?

Yes, though very large page counts automatically use a lower image quality to keep your browser from running out of memory. For huge decks, Compact quality is the most reliable choice.
